About the Event

Invest in Bavaria and the Security Network Munich are very pleased to host the 7th edition of the international Town Hall Meeting @it-sa – where true heroes meet!

Focus in this edition will be on the latest threat developments and possible avenues to counter these threats with insights from practitioners on how to actively manage and mitigate cyber risks. Be part of this unique gathering of the international cyber security community and look forward to inspiring talks and keen insights from different angles by highly regarded security experts including Cloudflare, Google, Siemens Energy and Giesecke+Devrient.

Veronika Reichl
Deputy Head of Investor Services (acting) at Invest in Bavaria

Veronika´s responsibility is to support international high tech companies to expand and establish themselves in Bavaria. Within the team of Invest in Bavaria she is particularly experienced with regard to working with companies from the cybersecurity sector.

After finishing her studies in international economics and intercultural studies, Veronika worked at the Bavarian Representative office in San Francisco, before she joined the Invest in Bavaria Team in Munich in 2014.

Peter Möhring
Managing Director of Security Network Munich

Peter Moehring is the Managing Director of Security Network Munich, an international recognized platform for security experts from industry and academia to promote information and cyber security in business and society. Established in 2012 in Munich, the Security Network Munich creates different formats and activities for its members and the public to develop strategies and best practice to effectively mitigate cyber risks. The Network comprises around 85 companies and organizations engaging more than 1600 people through its activities. Peter has been working for the smart card division of Giesecke+Devrient in a range of different management positions since 1998 and was also located to Spain and Japan for several years.

 

Security Network Munich - Europe’s leading expert network for information security

The Security Network Munich (Sicherheitsnetzwerk München) is an association of leading players, organisations and research institutes in the field of information and cyber security in the greater Munich area. Its goal is to foster industry cooperation through joint research and innovation projects. Members and partners meet regularly to discuss pressing industry challenges with government and research institutions. Set up as a project funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs ten years ago, the network founded the non-profit association “Sicherheitsnetzwerk München e.V.” in January 2019. The association will promote cooperation and exchange among its members across different industries and academia, foster innovation projects and education initiatives directed especially to students and young adults. The Security Network Munich is committed to engage -together with its partners- in awareness and best practice campaigns with special emphasize on business and industry. The Security Network Munich is a founding member of EnSure Collaborative, a European Network of Security and Safety Clusters. Stefan Sieber
Solutions Engineering Manager for DACH & France at Cloudflare

Stefan Sieber has been Head of the Solutions Engineering Organization in DACH and France at Cloudflare since June 2021. With his team of technical specialists, he is responsible for supporting customers and prospects in the sales and evaluation phase of new projects.

Mr Sieber holds a degree in Computer Science from the Clausthal University of Technology. His main interests are in the areas of information and cyber security. In the past, he held management roles in technical sales at Symantec, among others. Before joining Cloudflare, he was responsible for building and leading a European team of technical sales specialists at ServiceNow with a focus on security operations, vulnerability management and governance risk and compliance (GRC).


Prof. Dr. Igor Podebrad
Director, Office of the CISO, Google Cloud

Prof. Dr. Igor Podebrad currently serves as Director, Office of the CISO, Google Cloud. He is responsible for helping further shape the security and compliance landscape, helping with our approach to digital sovereignty and partnering with Cloud customers to help them with their security transformation.


Igor was most recently at Commerzbank AG as a divisional board member, responsible for Cyber Risk, Information Security, Model Risk and Operational Risk. In addition to that he also acted as the Group CISO for the bank. The German ministry of finance has accredited him as the German industry representative for cyber topics at the G7. Previously Igor held several different roles within the Commerzbank group, including processual, organizational and technical aspects.

Julia Hermann
Head of Security Architecture and Cyber Defense at Giesecke+Devrient

Julia Hermann brings more than 20 years of experience in IT and information security management. She started her career at a large German telecommunications provider in IT Security Consulting. She then spent the longest part of her career at a European Union agency as Information Security and Risk Officer, establishing its IT security from its foundation. She is currently Head of Security Architecture and Cyber Defense in Corporate Security at Giesecke+Devrient in Munich. In addition to her job, Julia Hermann is also involved in cybersecurity on a voluntary basis. In 2010, she was involved in the foundation of the (ISC)2 Chapter Germany, in particular in the establishment of a regional interest group in the Cologne/Bonn area. As a member and leader of the ISACA Germany Chapter's Information Security Expert Group, she co-authored the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 implementation guide and participated in the development of the two-day Information Security Practitioner certification course. Since 2019, she has been the Board Member for Marketing and Communications and OneInTech Program Lead of the ISACA Germany Chapter, and a member of various working groups of ISACA global.

Christoph Kroack
Cybersecurity Officer for the Region Europe @ Siemens Energy

Christoph Kroack serves as Cybersecurity Officer for the Region Europe in the global cybersecurity organization of Siemens Energy, a leading energy technology company. In this position, he is an advisor to Siemens Energy's senior leadership on cyber risks related to products, services, manufacturing, and business operations, thereby shaping a cohesive cyber strategy.

In his former role he was responsible for consulting and nurturing cybersecurity communities within Siemens Energy. Before joining Siemens Energy, Christoph was a consultant in the cybersecurity industry.
